La Esperanza

It's easy to like a song, but it's less often that you find a CD where you like every track on the disk.  This is is one of those for me.  I guess the style would be considered modern flamenco guitar.  I was listening to internet radio when the song "Mi Tierra" came on; It immediately caught my attention...I looked it up, and a few clicks later I had purchased the CD.  I was not disappointed in the least.  Carlos Villalobos is the composer.

Operatica: Shine

I first heard this while we were shopping in a Barnes & Noble, and thought it was really cool.  It's basically operatic arias set to modern electronic instrumentation.  Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.

Paul Greaver: Joy

Acoustic guitar; I guess you'd probably put this in the "new age" category.  Very pretty.

Rachmaninoff: Vespers

A capella choral music performed by the Robert Shaw Festival Singers.  The third track on this CD is my favorite, "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked" (sung in Russian).

Jakob Lindberg: Baroque Music for Lute & Guitar

I believe I first heard this on internet radio.  It's quite beautiful, very relaxing.  I think my favorite track is the Bach Prelude in C minor.

All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
