Happy Equinox!

Looking forward to cooler temperatures as we move into fall, and watching the hours of daylight gradually diminish until we reach the solstice.

We're still waiting for the negotiator to make a decision on the short sale — we have only 7 business days until closing!  It's just crazy when you consider that we received the offer at the beginning of July.

Apart from that, I spent a good chunk of this month working on an independent web project that was under a tight deadline.  I put in about 80 hours in 2 weeks, on top of my regular job.  The down side was that I totally abandoned the whole diet thing.  I've been rather reluctant to assess the damage.

Also, I got roped into giving World of Warcraft a try.  I knew when I saw my nephew playing it that I'd best stay away, because I'd probably enjoy it and find it very addictive.  That's mostly true.  I'm playing a night elf druid, and I think it's really cool that I can shapeshift into a cheetah.

Looking ahead, I'll be going on a women's retreat the first weekend in October.  Gilbert's working on a project for a church event on Halloween, and we'll be flying to Baltimore in November to attend his nephew's wedding.

Happy Equinox!

In Carolyn's defense, I would say that WOW is very comparable to candy and a trip to the island of lost boys.

Okay, okay... you were very low-key about it.  Nothing more than a simple invitation.  I'm the one who's succumbed...

"Roped in" she says... ROPED IN! Next you'll be claiming I offered you candy and a trip to the island of lost boys.
