Winter Wonderland

Friday, January 22, 2010

This morning when I awoke, there was about 2 to 3 inches of snow on the ground, and more coming down!

I quickly got dressed in warm clothes, coat and hat, and went out with my camera.  Everything was beautiful and wonderful.  I could hear branches of trees cracking under the weight of the snow, and one of my neighbors was already out, shaking the snow from the branches of the tree in his yard.

I took the cue, and went and got a rake from the garage.  I also went in to fetch some gloves, and traded my now soggy sneakers for some sturdy hiking boots.  The snow was deeper than I'd first thought!  As I shook the snow from the tree, the branches sprang back up into the wintery air.

As for the kitties, Skittles rubbed her face on the snow, but the others stared apprehensively out the back door, curious, but too nervous to venture out!

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in Him and He will do this:
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
— Psalm 37:5-6
