This morning I awoke to find a beautiful white carpet of snow all over everything.

I love the snow!  But I think the cats didn't quite know what to make of it.

I saw a little bird fluttering in the snow.  Unfortunately, Skittles saw it, too!

I rescued the little bird.  It had a drop of ice on its wingtip (which we removed), but was otherwise fine.  We released it a few minutes later, and it flew away.

Took a walk around the neighborhood.  Everything was so beautiful.

The snow had melted by the afternoon, but we ended the evening with a beautiful rainbow.

Looked like it was right across the street!

Nice pictures. Of course, I would have let my cat enjoy it's catch...

"Sing, O barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,"
says the Lord.
"Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
"For your Maker is your husband —
the Lord Almighty is His name —
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
He is called the God of all the earth."
— Isaiah 54:1,4-5
