I totally agree. I've been rather suspect of the International Earth-Destruction Advisory Board's declaration about the destruction of the earth. Yes, I know they claim that anyone in disagreement with their findings is in denial. Let's get MythBusters in here to settle the matter once and for all.
Granted, IEDAB claims that the LHC was not the cause; rather, they say it was a pre-emptive move by scientists. However, the author of the IEDAB website freely admits to the difficulty of accomplishing this task. (Note that they never stated how scientists managed to effect this pre-emptive strike.) So, perhaps it's a slightly different case; though the two are closely related enough that MythBusters should be able to cover both in one episode. Don't you think?
In the meantime, I'm removing the Current Earth-Destruction Status link from my home page in protest.
