New Home!

Monday, February 16, 2009

Finally!  I am very pleased to announce that we will be moving in to our new residence on March 1st, 2009 (or very shortly thereafter).  The house in Oregon will be listed for sale within the next few days (pending notification of the property manager), and we have rented a very nice home in Yucaipa.  This puts us a mere 25 minutes away from Gilbert's work, as opposed to the hour to hour-and-a-half drive he presently suffers.

When we went looking for properties last Saturday, the city, tucked up against the San Bernardino Mountains, was surrounded by snow.  It's situated right at the base of the San Gorgonio Wilderness in the San Bernardino National Forest, so I know there's just oodles of hiking trails waiting to be discovered.  The house itself is in a very nice neighborhood, at the end of a cul-de-sac.  It's a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 2-story home with fireplace, family room, dishwasher, and a fenced yard for the kitties.

Now I just need to start packing.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
